75th Anniversary Summer Tour

The Pennington Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) held its 75th Anniversary Summer Project Tour on July 25th.  Representative John Burkel, SWCD supervisors and staff, county and city officials, along with many of the individuals from agencies the District partners with, embarked on a journey to view eight of the District’s completed projects.  Projects included two streambank restorations, two ditch bank stabilizations, two windbreaks, a group of side water inlet installations, and a grazing project.  Funding sources for these projects include the Clean Water Fund, 319 Grant, 1W1P, Watershed-based Implementation Funding, Red Lake Watershed District, and Pennington County.  After the tour, folks had plenty of time to visit with one another before a pulled pork dinner was served.  Lemonade and cookies topped off the evening.
